15th IBS Graduation

There is a constant discussion on formalizing the Institute of Business Studies to becoming a new university in the nation.

This was announced by Minister for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, and Member for Sohe, Delilah Gore, during the 15th IBS graduation ceremony, at the Sagara Campus in Port Moresby.

A former IBS Graduant herself, Gore said the institution has proved its worth, with the increase in the number of its graduates annually; it will need the government to recognize its effort.

Over two hundred students graduated with Diploma in Accounting, Computing and Marketing. The students were challenged to make tangible differences in the careers they have chosen.

This is the second graduation for the Institution this year, the first graduation was in February which saw over five hundred students graduated.

IBS is affiliated to the University of Papua New Guinea’s School of Business Administration, and the University of Southern Cross in Queensland Australia.

IBS has also celebrated its twenty five years of operation in PNG just recently.
