Come Support the 2017 Pink Ribbon Lunch

Following its launching yesterday, the Pink Ribbon Lunch will be held on Wednesday 25th October 2017 at the Royal Papua Yacht Club, Port Moresby.

The event is an initiative aimed at raising funds to support the work of the Cancer Foundation in the country.

PNG Cancer Foundation CEO, Dadi Toka Jnr at the launching while highlighting the prevalence of cancer in the country, made a call to the corporate communities, to come along and support the initiative.

“Cancer awareness vital…I reach out to toll the corporate community again, to actively participate and support this women’s cancer awareness in Papua New Guinea as more women continue to die in the country from cancer”.

Guest speakers for the day include PNG Insitute of Medical Research’s researcher, Dr. Andrew Vallely, and cervical cancer survivor Ms Yvonne Kariko. Ms Kariko is a survivor of cervical cancer is confident to speak at the event.

There will be live entertainment by the beautiful Mari Ellingson.

The tables of ten are selling for K3,500, and those who wish to register, can contact PNG Cancer Foundation on email fundraising@cancerfoundation.org.pg or call 180 2009. The event starts at 11:30 am and ends at 1:30 pm.

Mr Toka said funds raised from the event, will assist the Cancer Foundation continue its cancer awareness and education programs throughout the country.
