A Settlement Gets Proper Road Sealing

Communities at Ranuguri and Segani settlement have been neglected for the past fifteen years concerning proper road and water supply.

 

However,they will now benefit from a road sealing project launched overthe weekend thanks totheir Member for Moresby-South, Justin Tkatchenko.

Member for Moresby-South Justin Tkatchenko was present to dothe ground breaking formalities.

 

Community Rep Kevin Kelly said past lLeadershave done too much lip service but now something real has to happen.

 

“Our MP has kept his promise in delivering services to his electorate by bringing in water and road,” he said.
 

Minister Tkatchenko saidthe project is part ofthe plan of improving and developing settlements to be suburbs before 2015.

 

“Now it’s time for a change, a time for a difference for a brand new day and a brand new beginning for Ranuguri and Segani,” said Tkatchenko.
 

The sealing ofthe road will commence atthe G4S headquarters right up to Ranuguri and Segani communities.

 

A local youth also expressedthe concern of employing youths inthe project and asked Minister Tkatchenko to improver sporting facilities to embrace local talent.

 

The road project was awarded to Dekenai Construction through proper legal tender process.
