Aihi Disappointed: MPs Yet To Submit Reports

Chairman of Education Task Force Team, and former Kairuku Hiri MP, Paru Aihi, is disappointed with MP’s who are yet to submit their district education survey report.

He said the document is vital as it will help the national government to allocate appropriate amount of funding to develop schools in the country.

Mr Aihi expressed this concern yesterday when receiving Kabwum’s Education Survey Report from Kabwum MP, Bob Dadae in Port Moresby.

He said to date, only 48 districts have submitted their reports out of the 89 districts in the country. A sum of K8.9 million was allocated with the breakdown of K100, 000 to each district to carry out the survey.

The delay of submissions will now see Mr Aihi seek extension from the Cabinet to allow MP’s complete their surveys.

The findings of each district will be validated against a different survey done by the Education Department and then submitted to the National Executive Council.
