Bougainvilleans Query Abandoned Bank Accounts during Civil War

Monies held by commercial banks in personal bank accounts during the shutdown period in Bougainville at the height of the civil war have been queried.

EMTV News is aware that large sum of monies were left in bank accounts when these commercial banks fled the civil war.

Christine Tonama, one of many Bougainvilleans who owned a business during the golden days of the then North Solomons, told EMTV News, this was a dead issue never raised, and she was happy when this media queried the issue.
