During the roll out, more than 70 participants from health centres and aid posts were trained and a further 22 were up-skilled on the best accepted practices in new born care. Member for Imbongu, Pila Niningi and ousted member, Francis Awesa reached an agreement to settle outstanding legal fees. The settlement was done on Friday (May 25) with Niningi, paying Awesa a sum of K114, 000. The payment stems from Niningi’s 2012 election petition against Awesa, who was sitting member then.Read more
It was a Papua New Guinea experience for a West Papuan Family, who handed their daughter to her groom from a mix parentage of Eastern Highlands, Simbu, and Central Provinces.
