Bangladeshi Businessman burnt to ashes in Wabag

A Bangladesh man was burnt to ashes this morning in Wabag town.

The Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Eye witnesses said the fire started in the Kitchen when the Bangladesh man tried to light the gas stove.

Four other Bangladesh are homeless after their rented store was burnt to ashes.

The fire started at around five o’clock this morning burning down a building which houses several other businesses such as shops and finance companies.

An undisclosed amount of cash and store goods worth millions of Kina were also burnt down to ashes.

Owner of the property is an Engan man who is still in a state of shock.

The other four expatriates are also traumatised of loosing their brother and their property to fire.

They are being interviewed at Wabag Police station and are under the care of Police in case the relatives of the property owner might attack them.
