Head Teacher calls for adequate support for ‘Free Education’ Component

Maintaining TFF infrastructure remains a challenge for a school in West New Britain Province.

Banaule Primary School Head Teacher Aloise Luba said, despite receiving high priority, projects remain incomplete.

Mr Luba said more support in needed.

Mr Luba made this statement when visited by a team from the Education Department Policy Division. In the past two years the school has received Government’s TFF Component.

Luba said the school is benefitting however need support.

Two teachers’ houses were built including new classroom. However support funding is needed to complete the building.  He said a submission is before the West New Britain Provincial Government.

The Education Department Team also visited other schools to see how the TFF Policy is implemented and, how the Department can improve sustain the policy.

Banaule Primary School is situated along the Hoskins – Kimbe highway.

It is one of the Primary Schools in the Hoskins area of Talasea District.
