Kimisopa Concerned About Government’s Priorities

by Adelaide Kari – EM TV News, Port Moresby

The Party leader of the New Generation Party, Bire Kimisopa, has said in a press release that he was concerned that the government was priorit’sing more on things that don’t affect PNG lives.

He said at a time when the Secretary of Finance is seeking financial restraint from departments, they were still unable to meet a commitment of K40 million to fight the TB epidemic and yet the government was able to pledge K115 million to assist Tonga run the Pacific Games.

He said that it appeared obvious that the lives of PNG citizens are more important than an international sporting event and government priorities must change.
