Manus Locals to Benefit From New Church Building

Nuwok Seventh Day Adventist in Manus Province will now be able to practice their faith and workshop in a much bigger church building.

New Church Building Chairperson Levi John told EMTV News, the building’s deteriorating stage and growing members in the circuit was urgent.

Mr John said that construction work has already begun.

Contractor, Las Island, have been engaged to build this state of the art modern facility.

According to Paska Toaligur, Manager of the Construction Company, he said that phase one is the construction of a church building, sporting facilities, and children’s recreational area, and toilet and shower facilities that are user friendly for People with Special Needs, a requirement under the National Government Policy. Phase two will be for guesthouse and kitchen facilities.

So far, efforts in raising funds have progressed well with the support of corporate, business and individuals.

Fundraising Coordinator, John Malai said that church faithful’s and groups in other countries are also sending money through online donation, is on the Nuwok SDA website.
