New RSPCA Clinic opened

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has just begun building a new clinic, with offices and a cattery.

This is good news for all animals and pet owners around PNG.

RSPCA is the only private vet clinic in PNG, and operates their clinic, shelter, pound management and education program purely from donations, fundraising, business support, and clinic fees.

RSPCA has just begun the building of its new clinic.
This will see more office space for staff, and a new cattery for cats.
Towards the end of 2017, a new hospital for animals that are sick and recovering from surgery was completed.

RSPCA is the only private vet clinic in PNG.

It offers a wide variety of services, including surgery and boarding for animals whose owners are traveling.

RSPCA also has the ‘Adopt a Pet’ program.

Last year saw 70 cats and 73 dogs adopted into new homes.

This is Debbie, who is still in dire need of a new home.

Animals who stay more than a year have to be put to sleep if they don’t find a home.

Helen White said that the number of animals continues to increase but they want to be able to care for all!
