On this episode:
We feature the only national literary writing competition in PNG, the Crocodile Prize.
This writing competition was established by Keith Jackson and Phil Fitzpatrick, two Australians who have lived and worked in Papua New Guinea for many years before returning to their country.
They saw the need of encouraging Papua New Guineans to tell their stories and one way to do that is starting a writing competition.
The competition has 11 categories for this year 2017.
During the panel, the working committee in PNG gave the requirements for each category and also highlighted the procedures to follow if Papua New Guineans want to be part of the writing competition.
The best of the writings in this competition get their work published in an anthology that is published annually.
