POM Football Club Increases Opportunity

The Port Moresby Football Club has reached the final week of their Skills Development Program at Boroko East International School.

The grassroots football program aims to develop and enhance the football skills of the youth of Papua New Guinea.

Development Manager Reginald Davani has also given the FC Port Moresby Team members the opportunity to utilize this as a self-development program.

The grassroots football technique program is aimed at developing skills, providing children with the opportunity to learn, and applying their football skills within the correct level of competition.

Coach and Development Manager Reginald Davani is adamant in promoting healthy and active lifestyles for children in the program.

Reginald Davani highlights the importance of utilizing raw talent and potential within the community, which runs in conjunction with what the development program has to offer.

Athletes are given the opportunity to showcase their talent and potential within a competitive environment.

The involvement from both young boys and girls show a promising future for the youth themselves.

Although the Development Program looks to identify aspiring football players, current POM FC players such as, Ronald Lelei, Roland Bala and Junior Ila Ilaita have used the program to assist them in self-development on and off the field.
