Public Confusion: Biodata Survey Halted

The rollout of the Education Department’s, Access Management Control System Program has been halted indefinitely, following misunderstanding on the part of the public.

A very angry Secretary for Education, Dr Michael Tapo, explained to the media the implementation had stopped over a week ago after the first wave of rumors.

Dialogues with schools in the Nation’s Capital will be carried out before the program’s recommencement in selected schools. Chaos is what happens when false rumors are instigated in our school playgrounds.

Education Secretary Dr. Michael Tapo expressed annoyance about rumors of strange Asian looking men entering schools, to give injections to students, which would eventuate in triple six.

Speaking during an education and training sectorial committee public forum, organized by the Consultative Implementation & Monitoring Council, Dr. Tapo showed the device being used to collect bio data from schools.

Called the Access Management Control System, it is simply a finger print scanner. No injections.  It is meant to improve data collection for all schools, from finding out how many students are at school, to monitoring the attendance of teachers at school. In other words, the system helps computerize relevant vital information; so information for better planning can be obtained almost instantaneously via mobile technology.

Although, parents and guardians say not enough awareness was done, Dr. Tapo defends his department, and is calling on all schools to educate students, parents, and guardians.

The implementation of the pilot project stopped over a week ago, with a meeting to convene in the coming days. Mr. Tapo warns that any school not abiding to the government sanctioned exercise will be punished.
