Rai Coast Students Receive Financial Assistance

In his rally for Rai Coast students to pursue education attainment, Rai Coast MP James Gau, delivered financial assistance to students attending the University of Papua New Guinea yesterday.

Mr Gau represented the Rai Coast Administration and delivered a cheque worth K90, 000, to UPNG Pro Vice Chancellor Academic, Professor Subba Rao. Mr Gau added that the government plans to improve facilities of tertiary institutions and education level will increase thus funding is vital.

 

Rai Coast student leader at UPNG Gregory Barang, thanked the Rai Coast Administration, for the ongoing commitment and encourage students to work harder and achieve better academic results.

 

Meanwhile on the same note, a cheque of K21, 000 was presented to students attending the Pacific Adventist University, outside Port Moresby as well.

 

Mr Gau said the assistance is an investment strategy in supporting all, to be educated and be instrumental in developing the province and country. He made it clear that the Rai Coast District Administration prioritizes education and infrastructure as the two main development agenda for 2014.
