By Skola Sengi – EM TV, Port Moresby

The Telikom National Soccer League kicked-off round 2 matches in Lae and Madang today.

After a tough encounter against a determined Admiralty side, Madang FC locked horns in a one-all draw to earn their first points of the season at the Laiwaden Oval in Madang.

While the double-header in Lae saw Hekari United hold off Lae City Dwellers in a 3-nil thrashing at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium.

Hekari’s Aleck Murimuri opened the score line in the 14th minute, and capped off the match with another goal in the 41st minute. Sammy Tommy also collected a goal in the 21st minute.

Lae City Dwellers will revisit the drawing board and work on their strengths to tackle round 3 next weekend.

And wrapping-up round two, the main clash of the day saw the new Besta FC outfit hold the experienced Oro FC side 4 goals to one.

This now puts Hekari and Besta 2 pints each, followed by Admiralty, FC Port Moresby, Lae City Dwellers and Madang FC on a point each, with Oro yet to earn points.
