The Southern Highlands Provincial Assembly handed down a budget of more than K300 million in Mendi on Thursday, January 18.
The money plan for 2013 is targeted at restoring and rehabilitatingthe province.
Transport infrastructure gotthe biggest share ofthe budget….close to 30 million kina.
Also in Southern Highlands, an investigation will be conducted into allegations of cheating in three secondary schools in Southern Highlands Province.
Southern Highlands Governor William Powi said a team will be appointed bythe provincial government to immediately put this issue to rest.
