Swimmers named for Singapore Championships

PNG SwimmingIncorporated has named swimmers to participate atthe Singapore National Championships andthe FINAWorld titles in July.   

The Singapore event will be used as preparation for the FINA event.

The Theodist National Championships also provided an opportunity for athletes to swim qualifying times for membership intothe National Aquatic Excellence Silver and Gold Development and Kundu Silver and Gold Target Squads.

President oPNG Swimming Liz Wells says New Additions who swam times to register a place onthese squads were quite impressive.

The competition provided young swimmers with a stage not only to shine and improver but futher develop racing skills.

Atthe conclusion ofthe evenPNGSI namedthe swimmers who will travel toInternational competitions sanctioned in 2013 and some ofthese swimmers come fromthe Beroko Swimming Club.

Minister for Sport has come forth in helpingthese young swimmers fromthe Beroko Swimming club realisetheir dreams.

The Singapore National Champis will be in preparation for Tegan McCarthy, Berbara Vali and Stanford Gore who will represenPNG atthe FINAWorld Championships atthe close of July.

Team composition for the Junior FINAWorld Championships to be held in Dubai late August includes Beitney Murray from Beroko Club.
