Tigers dropped to fourth place

Lae Snax Tigers are lickingtheir wounds after a disappointing loss to Port Moresby Stop and Shop Vipers 26-16 in round 14 ofthe Digicel Cup.

Tigers led inthe first half but Vipers stuck tothe fight untilthe final whistle.

Lae Snax Tigers took on Port Moresby Stop & Shop Vipers in an away game withthe hope of maintainingthe top spot onthe ladder.

Tigers were first to score plotting points onthe scoreboard but Vipers were quick to retaliate with a try oftheir own.

Tigers ledthe match 10- 6 going into half time. Thebreakas much needed as Vipers returned on field to run away withthe lead.

Lae Snax Tigers put up solid defence and kepttheir defence tight wherethey could. Vipers sensedthe pressure and bounced back with two converted ties.

Tigers clinched a last minute try but eventually succumbed to Vipers 26-16 at full time.

WhileIn ther match results, Gurias beat Isapeas 32-22, Wigmen defeated Muruks 30-24, Lions defeated Eagles 16-4 and Lahanis recorded a win over Mioks 23-10 in Goroka.

The point’s ladder after round-14 seesthe Goroka Lahanis lead followed bythe Gurias on 18 points shared with Vipers and Tigersthen Mioks, Lions, Isapeas; Eagles and Muruks sit atthe bottom ofthe ladder.
