The volunteers made it known that they deserved to be recognised for their efforts in being a part of the delivery of the pacific games.

The Games Organising Committee, in a statement, have made it very clear that right from the start, that the role undertaken by volunteers were on a voluntary basis, and they were not to be paid.

Yesterday, the GOC hosted a thank you function for all the volunteers and Technical officials who played a part in the games. They were presented with certificates of appreciation, and a medal in appreciation for their role during the Pacific Games.
