Athletes to maintain cleaner environment for 2015 Pacific Games

As part of preparations for the 2015 Pacific Games, athletes from different sports have been trained to spread the message for a clean environment to play sport.

The aim of the training is to educate athletes and equip them with knowledge about the environment and the effects Human rubbish has on it.

Kila Mala from the PNG Sport Federation and Olympic Committee had taken the forefront to speak to Team NCD and Eastern Highlands cricket players.

NCD Rugby 7’s players have also been identified to take on the program in their communities by promoting the ‘Love your Coast’ Sport and Environment program.

Selected sports and athletes will now take on the task to educate other sports men and women on the program before 2015.
