Kundiawa’s 38 year old sewerage plant to be developed

The Simbu Capital, Kundiawa becomes one of a few places for WaterPNG to include in its sewerage treatment programs.

An agreement worth six point seven million kina was awarded to Pesi Business Development Corporation yesterday.

The corporation will developthe thirty eight year old sewerage treatment plant currently accommodating over five thousand people.

The access road leading tothe sewerage treatment area will also be developed.

Acting Executive Officer andthe Managing Director Raka Taviri Junior said a total of thirty eight million kina has been allocated by government this year to carry out a nationwide water and sewerage development projects.

Mr. Taviri said WaterPNG is set to develop all sewerage and water plants inthe country inthe next five years.

This isthe second signing afterthe Malahang Pipeline extension project in Lae last month.
