Segeyaro Begs Forgiveness

It was two years ago that controversy ensued when Segeyaro turned down to play for Papua New Guinea. But now the Sharks Hooker is asking for forgiveness from passionate Papua New Guinean League fans as he looks to make a push for a Kumul jersey.

And that caused a stir on social media in the past few weeks as some irate Papua New Guineans voiced their disgust.

With mixed emotions among fans, it is not yet clear whether Segeyaro will actually put on a Kumuls jersey.

The 26-year-old, who turned his back on Papua New Guinea following the passing of his father two years ago reasoned he only did that because PNG League officials did very little during that time even though his father contributed a lot to the School boys’ rugby program.
