Whilst some sections of the Lae city roads are undergoing rehabilitation, other roads in the city are becoming exhausted and continue to deteriorate.
Heavy moving vehicles also use similar roads used by smaller vehicles, making it more congested and dangerous.
Increase in the number of imported cars had also contributed towards the congestions in the city.
This has forced some drivers to breached traffic rules, and putting lives of the pedestrians in danger.
