Wambesi Volleyball Club receive support from EM TV

by Tere Alex – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

Metoria Park in Hanuabada Village wrapped up a flaring season of volleyball over the weekend.

The regulars included the undefeated reigning kings Wambesi, who took to the court their traditional winning game plan.

An additional boost for Wambesi was T-shirts from EM TV entertainment show, Vocal Fusion. Identifying raw talent in this Motuan village has been a successover the years.

Three players from the club were part of Team NCD who participated in the recently-held National Volleyball Championships in Lae.

The man behind the club is Arua Ben Moide. Moide is the assistant strength and conditioning coach with the SP PNG Hunters. The enthusiasm for volleyball is obvious and can be seen in the support he gives to the Wambesi Volleyball Club.

The Games took its form right to the end; the Wambesi match was the last match of the day, after two sets each the supporters rose up in a commotion and the match was called off.
