Church leaders and the people of Yangoru-Saussia District in East Sepik are currently preparing to host a major one week religious convention which will coincide with the National Prayer and Repentance Day on the 26th of August.
This will see the dedication of Yangoru-Saussia District and its people to God.
Local MP, Richard Maru said the District may experience physical changes in terms of development, but if the spiritual battle is not won, all these changes will become nothing.
Minister Maru said the convention will compliment changes and developMen’s happening in the District.
“It is timely that we dedicate the District to God, because prosperity will prevail only through God. The people must be freed from so much evil and curses that exist in the District causing stagnancy in the growth and development of the District”, said Minister Maru.
Yangoru-Saussia’s Joint District Planning and Budget Priorities Committee have allocated money to fund the convention.
Prominent clergies, Pastors Joseph Walter and Ruben Akia have been invited to be the main speakers during the one week convention. All churches are now mobilizing their preparations to stage this important event.
